On a vaguely related note regarding team colours, some years back Chelsea were trooping out in an Orange and Grey abomination of a second strip.
Upon challenging one of their acolytes about this fashion disaster, I received the reply:-
'Nah Mate! It's Slate and Tangerine.'
Style over substance from London's favourite Fancy-Dans, methinks.
