I had a plan that if I could manipulate some painting time this weekend I was going to start on the new Tang Chinese from TAG but the postman has let me down and they have not arrived. Didn't feel like committing to another unit of Imperial Chinese so I dug this chap out from the pile. I already have quite a few of these done but I have intentionally used completely different paints on this one to make the next batch a little different and to see if this would work?

Looks great! :-*
Skin tone is nice

Nice one! I like the uniform colour a lot. What did you use for it?
I would maybe get the buttons of his shirt stand out a bit more. They kinda get lost with the uniform as a background.

Looking good Svennn.
The colour looks quite 'Afrika Korps' - is that degree of yellowness right for K.A.R.? (I don't know, just asking... )
Presumably he is atop the snows of Kilimanjaro ;)

the colours wok well and are a nice contrast to the skin,
if that is snow his feet are gonna drop off lol

Thanks for the comments.
You will all be pleased to hear I have now painted his (and another five I got done yesterday) base and he is now firmly back on warm ground.
The flesh is CDA Negro, CDA Chestnut and Foundry Raw Linen C.
The main uniform colour is Foundry Raw Linen B shaded with Burnt Umber (W&N) and highlighted with main colour with white.
