No, it's not that I can't find the shower, it's Vallejo Fleshtone Wash.
When using it I'm getting a sort of white effect where the dark colour should be pooling. Any idea's what could be wrong? Bad Paint?

Do you shake it (a lot) before use? Sounds like the matte medium is not properly dissolved, and pools in the recesses.

Does your bottle say "new formula" on it? Sadly many of the "older" washes have exactly this problem. Both Matthew Parkes and El Mercenario remark on it in their paitning guides.

Thanks for the feedback.
Yup the bottle gets a good shake, I even use a sonic wash (which does wonders for paints).
No it doesn't say, 'new formulae' on the bottle. Is that a problem with all the older washes or just this one?

Ive had the problem too. Make sure you wet the brush as if painting normally, helps the brush take up the wash better. Make sure the water pot is clean too. I find it happens if the wash is a little too thin, which means the matte base separates more easily.

I've had the same problem with several older bottles of vallejo washes. The new formula does not have the problem.
For me, the issue only occurred when I diluted the washes with water though (regular tap water, which in my part of the world is actually purer than bottled mineral water. yes; we're blessed... :D ). When used straight, the washes did not white over at all.
I also have two large 200 ml screw lid pots/jars of vallejo washes (black & sepia, old formula), but those have never whited out on me, even when diluted... ???
I've switched to the new formula for almost all washes by now, and when buying new ones, I always check to see if they're the new formula, just to be sure. However; there'll be a time when they will take the orange 'New Formula' indication off theit labels, and then it'll be impossible to see whether you have a new bottle or some old stock with the old formula.
In that case, I suggest testing the washes before applying them to anything valuable...
