Here ist my progress in building Miners Houses for a German Revolution / Civil War Setting. I' ve planned to do another - smaller - house. All of them are done as "prototypes", as I could now see how they match on the table with the minis as well as on the terrain I'm still producing.
I was ammazed how easy it was to work with Selitron / Floormaster used to make the walls. But anyway, maybe I will do some masterpiece and will cast it, as I was much more amazed by the mouldmaking an resin-casting.
The only problem I'v got is time to do all the stuff I've planned... But enough talking, here are some pics.
First two pictures of houses I used as guidelines - both are taken at the Ruhr:

I then startet to carve bricks at the would be walls - and this doesn't look really good:

But - as always - build together and blackprimed it's far better:

As I've said there are two houses. I used "ready-made" plates with imprinted rooftiles. This is a lot easier then trying to do this kind of roof by myself.

In the meantime I've painted the houses a bit:

At the moment I'm finishing them. They've got chimneys an some more paint on the roof. When I'm finished with both I will show them!

to get some more (hopefully nice) feedback here are tow pics of teh "nearly" finished houses. I think I will highlight the bricks (as some people suggested) and will do the windows and the doors - which are still just primed in basecolours.
Minis shown are from Copplestone and GreatWar.
Oh and next buildings will be even better, because I won't do some mistakes again. For example not prime the roofplate black on both sides, so you could see a bit of the original white tone...

So cool!!!
can you tell us some more about the material used for the walls, is it some kind of foam for flooring?
I find the walls being a much bigger problem than the roof. In the image below I have used the "Games Workshop" technique cutting up cardboard and glue in in rows. Below is also a WIP image of Spartakists for Berlin 1919.

Very nice work there.

Very nice. The picture with the sunset in the back ground really makes the building look real.
