I'm looking for some generic modern armed thugs, preferably without uniforms and armed with guns of some sort, was wondering if anyone had some good suggestions?
Thanks

Spectre have some interesting forces that could fit the bill
Criminals

Undercover Operatives

African Militia

Middle East Militia

GRU Spetsnaz also has a few good ones (Delta, Echo, Foxtrot)

The OOP Wargames Factory Male Survivors which are now produced as Warlord Games Zombie Civilians IIRC. Brigade Games have some Armed and Unarmed Sailors which might suit. IHMN through North Star Brick Lane Commune - Victorian but adaptable.

Depends what aesthetic you're after but we have paramilitary (https://www.mikebravominiatures.co.uk/collections/28mm-state-of-emergency/products/paramilitaries-in-balaclavas?variant=13641435399) types and a few lighter dressed armed civilians (https://www.mikebravominiatures.co.uk/collections/28mm-state-of-emergency/products/copy-of-pre-release-stretch-post-punk-armed-civilians-2?variant=16459177287) on the blocks . https://www.mikebravominiatures.co.uk/collections/28mm-state-of-emergency (https://www.mikebravominiatures.co.uk/collections/28mm-state-of-emergency)

Copplestone KGB. Pistol armed.

Do you mean current ultra modem? Generic armed thug means different things over the past few decades.

Sculptor Bobby Jackson did a line of figures called "Thugz"

Gotta second Crossover miniatures. Bank robbers, cops, para-military goons. Lots of options and the multiple head system is nice too.

Does anyone know where to get crossover miniatures in the EU?

Think minibits, owned by Pendraken if I'm not mistaken.
-
Yes, Minibits have them:

They are great figures but they have a very different style to Empress. They are intended to fit in with the excellent Crossover superhero range so have a more comic book look as opposed to Empress. I highly recommend the supers range. I'm just waiting for the Superhero Painting League!

Hi there
Thanks for all the suggestions, great minis all round. I love the crossover miniatures, very impressive sculpts but not really the style I'm after. Both Mike Bravo Minis and the KKBB models are different but very suitable as are the crooked dice gang of thugs, if anyone has any more suggestions feel free to make them, I need to have a think.
Thanks again

Minibits only have a selection of crossover miniatures, i am after the UFO-squad aliens but they are not sold by minibits for some reason.

Email Leon and ask about them. The worst he can say is no. :) He's a really friendly, helpful guy.

Not sure. I don't own any Empress unfortunately.

I've ordered directly from Rusti at Crossover for delivery to the UK. No problems whatsoever. He's another great guy to deal with.
