Title: Joe's Fantasy Randomness
Post by: joe_momma_01 on 13 June 2016, 06:55:44 AM
Hello everyone,
New to this community. After a bit of a hiatus from minis I've gotten back into it. Thinking of getting into some fantasy skirmish as it gives me a great excuse to not gather and paint an entire army.

Here's a few Black Tree Design Skelatons I did as a warm up.

Lot's of cool mini work on this site, I'm looking forward to participate here.

Welcome aboard, nice start.  What games are you considering?

I'm torn Between SoBH and Vortex.

I'm torn Between SoBH and Vortex.

What a nice way to introduce one self!

I don't know Vortex, but SBH is very simple and easy to pick up. Can get a bit samey after many games, but a good place to start.

Your old school skellies are the bee's knees for individual model skirmish games, and if you get bitten by the painting bug, you can always up-scale to unit-based skirmish games like OGAM (units of 4-8, heroes and deities, using the SBH-engine), Dragon Rampant (units of 6 or 12 - or less, if you use 'reduced units' where models have several wounds), or A Fantastic SAGA (probably points of 4, 8, and 12 models, if it follows the standard SAGA rules - I haven't read it properly, yet).

Looking forward to see more of your living impaired warband, and any other models you care to share!  :)

They look nice and rattley, just like skellies should.
