Beautiful work! Who's the manufacturer of the soldiers? They look really familiar.
-
They look like Artizan Designs to me.
Really nice warband.
-
Lovely 😁

These guys look beautiful! Lovely paint work and a fantastic cohesive look to the warband.
But with all those missile troops, who's going to run quick as a hopping mouse of the desert to pick up the treasure? There's going to be treasure. You don't need 40 thieves, but maybe one or two?

His warband is designed to kill the opposition and pick up the treasure at his leisure at the end of the game.

Awesome gang!!!

That's a great looking warband - bravo!

Plenty of scenery and a wall spell or two would soon put paid to that :D

Also provided you don't have local house rules that discourage the armed assault approach.
We played a few multi-player games and solved the "kill everyone and pick up the treasure at leisure" by putting in a simple house rule that no treasure can leave the table if there is only 1 faction still in play.
So you choose, treasure or fight.
But lovely looking crew for Frostgrave, or Sinbad, or Prince of Persia.....

Likewise, otherwise you'd just take the killiest team you could muster and worry about the treasure later. It defeats the whole point of the game.
The minis look amazing, btw. I've got an Arabian themed warband for ASoBH that I really need to get finished now.

The good news is that's only half the warband painted . Thugs , thieves knights etc are to follow shortly .
The good news is they are sitting in my warband box looking very happy . Recently used some of the figures in a frostgrave tournament in York UK . Where they did reasonably well . :) :)

Nicely done. I look forward to seeing more of your work.
-
I really like the clean and bold paintjob. A couple questions:
1. How many highlight layers do you use? Do you use washes?
2. What are the basic steps you use to paint the faces?
-
Nice looking warband. love the colours.

Agreed! This was virtually the first house-rule we adopted to prevent the silly killy approach!
Otherwise, judicious use of terrain, fog & wall makes crossbowman obsolete whereas archers can at least move & shoot. Subsequent upgrades to Ranger make them more useful fighters & treasure gatherers!
