Title: Take that hill! Sharp Practice AAR
Post by: shandy on 01 July 2016, 04:40:38 PM
Hi!

Being now confident with the rules, we had a game featuring cavalry.

I made the error of trying to charge a line, but what brought me down was being forced to roll again and again on the Force Morale table. With Sharp Practice, you really can't afford to waste your troops - another thing I like about the rules!

Shandy

What a great report and nicely put together with some great snaps so we can follow the action (I always take too many close-ups and they don't really show the story).

You're right about cavalry.  Wargamers love to launch a heroic charge, but seeing your own cavalry come routing back just unsettles your infantry.  Keep the chaps on donkeys in reserve until you have a few easy targets they can ride down later in the game.

Glad you're enjoying the rules.

Rich.

Thanks for the kind words! Next time, I'll hold the donkeys back until the time is right...
