Here's a question. Can you think of a specific miniature (probably 28mm) that would work as Moorcock's Duke Teer (http://stormbringer.wikia.com/wiki/Duke_Teer) (a "Duke of Hell" who lives in a castle made of blood) in 15mm?
This should be easy. Or so I thought last night, when I had a rummage in the lead pile. Duke Teer is described as a fat, coarse, human figure, naked but for a "tabard" (I think either a tunic/surcoat or a loincloth would do) and with an "essentially human" head equipped with tusks. He's unarmed, IIRC, except for nets. And he changes size, so, as long as he's big compared with 15mm, his stature's unimportant. I'll be putting him on a 50mm square base, but I don't mind if he's relatively small for it. He is a Duke of Hell, after all.
I thought that there would be plenty of pot-bellied, loincloth-clad orcs lurking around, and I had my eye on some war-machine crew. But no luck! The loin-cloth clad ones were all lugging ammunition or slender savage orcs, heavily armed.
So, any pointers to a specific figure - probably a 28mm orc or ogre, given the tusks - would be greatly appreciated! A suggestion might even point me to a model I actually have somewhere. But I've drawn a blank so far.

What about the goblin king from the Hobbit escape from Goblin Town?

Now that's a very interesting idea. Thanks! He would also make a pretty good Arioch (in his King of Swords incarnation, with men crawling over him like parasites).

How about the Nurgle guy...Epidemius? A bit gribblies maybe. And probably very large against 15mm minis
