I usually don't like papercraft terrain, but a guy did a very impressive model of Ravenloft Castle using several TerraClips sets:

Notably, he seems to have covered the grey plastic clips with printed texture labels.

That's pretty epic.
I kinda feel though that making that with foam core and cardboard would have been almost the same amount of work? Can anyone tell me if folding papercraft buildings is any faster than making terrain?
Thanks

Neldoreth, print-and-cut paper terrain is always faster to make, but even a simple castle wall made with white styrofoam and a very simple paint scheme stands much better in the games table, because of the 3D effect, IMHO.
Can you imagine your wonderful Prancing Pony done with a printer and a pair of scissors? ;)

Well, Terraclips doesn't require a printer and a pair of scissors, as far as I can tell. ;)
'No printing, no cutting, no painting,' from their site. However, seems like it might cost as much or more, and if you have the wicked talent Neldoreth has, certainly not as satisfying, especially to those of us lurkers. ;->=

TerraClips are pretty fantastic, but they should have skipped the modular-clip portion of the project. These are not "assemble them easily each time you play!" kind of kits. I owned about four of them at one point. It was only after I sold them off I realized I should have used them to make permanent card buildings (the card is quite thick - not paper). If you skip the plastic clips and put a little work into assembling some permanent sections/buildings/etc. they could be quite excellent.
I'm a little biased too because I got mine at pre-order...so about 40% off when they delivered them a year late. lol I don't even know if these are still around...not likely for reasonable costs. You got a heck of a lot of stuff per box.
