Hi,
I've just got my grubby little hands on Fantastic Worlds from Rattrap productions, and all I can say is wow! These are the rules I've been looking for for so long. Admitedly the armoury is a little small, but otehrwise its pretty much perfect. And especially perfect for something I've been going around thinking about for so long now - producing the Artemis Fowl books as a wargame. If you've not read the Artemis Fowl books give them a try. Admittedly they're written as children's books, but most of the people I know who've read them are adults. They have a fantastic mix of dark humour, fun, sci-fi and good plots. they're about a fairy as part of LEPrecon (Lower Elements Police Recon) - Holly Short, who gets involved with a 13year old crimal mastermind - Artemis Fowl and his man-mountain Butler - Butler. It involves sieges, goblin rebellions, snubnosed lasers, psychotic pixes, farting Drawves and rampaging trolls. If you don't know what I'm talking about have I look here:

I've had a few ideas for characters but missing a few as yet.

However I'm missing some good models for other fairies and in particular a retrival squad and maybe Opal, and good old Mulch Diggums. Trolls are pretty easy. So any ideas?

Thanks for the compliments on Fantastic Worlds. I really look forward to seeing how your game comes together.
As fate would have it my son's copy of Artemus Fowl was stolen at his school just last week. I'll certainly need to pick him a new copy up. He was reading it for I think the third time.

You're welcome, credit given where credit is due. I'd been comtemplating writing my own rules, along a very similiar idea, but it looks like you beat me to it and now at least I don't have to go through the bother of writing it all up!

Faeries are pretty easy to make - just add wings to a model that's otherwise of the right size.

They look great, though the fairies of Artemis Fowl use jetpowered wings, only pixies have they're own. So I'm looking for some smallish humanoid miniatures, that are well equiped. I can model pointed ears and jet powered wings as necessary. I've comtemplated using Ground Zero's NAC marines, but they lack miniatures with pistols and in more 'heroic' positions.

Great idea, there's a lot of potential for mayhem gaming Artemis Fowl. I like your miniature choices so far, but sadly can't really think of any to suggest off the top of my head. Butler's sister should be easily found though, perhaps from Copplestone's Future War miniatures.

I think she should be pretty easy to cover. I've got a Necromunda Escher Juve that with a little work could be fine as Juliet.
