Title: HELP NEEDED - Jurassic Park miniatures
Post by: HvM on 10 July 2016, 03:23:29 PM
Hey everyone!

I'm currently planning some cinematic miniature photographs based on the original movie of Jurassic Park. I will even show some scenes that happened in the book and didn't make into the movie version like the riverboat scene for example. But I'm drawn to show the main characters like they appear on the screen. So I'm looking for miniatures to are very close to the look of the characters in the movie (even if that will include a bit of conversion and green stuff work).
If you have any suggestions for suiting miniatures, please let me know. I'm totally new to the world of pulp miniatures so I guess there a loads of model manufacturers that are still unknown to me.
I attached a photograph of some of the main characters.

Many thanks for your help!

Daniel

Obviously you may want to ditch the sledge hammer...

If you can't find something ready made then I'll add them to my sculpt list for September. As there's no reason for those outfits not to fit in with my pet pulp project .

If you like plastics then the Male and Female Survivor sets from Wargames Factory now marketed as Project Z by Warlord Games may well have the parts you need to make the main characters.

And the Polit Bureau Youth Brigade may convert with weapons deleted and a head swop?

Thank you all so much!
I found perfectly matching miniatures for Dr. Alan Grant and Dr. Ian Malcolm but I am still undecided with models for John Hammond and Ellie Sattler. If anyone else has some nice suggestions, please let me know! Thank you!

Cheers,
Daniel
