Simple question. How do you like to fill your Wizard's item slots?

My vault is filled to the brim, to the point where I needed to rewrite it all smaller on a new wizard sheet. I mostly invest in varying scrolls and potions, but I love many of the magic items. I personally like to have all of them, and then depending on the wizard I am facing, I reorganize my wizards inventory accordingly, or depending on the campaign/scenario.
I am a poor answer to your question, because really my answer is, EVERYTHING/ANYTHING!!! :D

Fair enough. Are there any items that you tend to use more often, or perhaps a particular weapon? If you take a magical weapon, do you prefer a traditional weapon or a staff? Do you ever take rings that add to armor, or perhaps boots of speed, etc.?

Orb of Power is super cheap and pretty much the go-to late-game item.
Demon in a Bottle is a great thing for all the soldiers to have, and you can bust out more forces when required. But its not for a wizard.
An elixer of life is pretty much essential, but nobody carries it, so its not for a wizard, even though it is.
Scrolls of spells you don't know are always good, try to carry a few if you happen to have them.
Wizards with Fight+5 very much want a +2 Hand Weapon and offhand dagger.
Fate Stones are amazingly powerful, and the Boots of Speed. Gloves of Casting are great if you aren't a witch, and useless if you are. Use them for summoning demons or mind controlling people.
And whatever slots you have left go to Robes of Arrow Turning, rings and cloaks of protection.

Ring or potion of teleportation for me. Go go gadget legs.

+2 sword / ring of teleportation/ gem of the fire heart/ gloves of casting / fate stone.
Gloves of Casting and Fate Stone for one shot Strike dead spell on the enemy Wizard.
