Title: Prussian VSF vehicles
Post by: leadfool on 23 January 2009, 07:38:41 AM
Here are some of My Prussian vehicles.  The color is the German WWII Orange, just used in 1885 instead of 1944.

Nice, I like your idea of combining the 2 Disney toys into one tank!

Tell us more about the tank with the "training wheels" please. I really like it.

Now, if I reveal my secrets, I will face competition getting the parts.  I have purchased some lots of toys on Ebay.  They are either from the Disney "Atlantis" movies or from fast food kid meals for various movies.  The parts just get combined in various ways with the help of glue and VOILA, a new VSF vehicle.
The tank with training wheels is all parts of toys from the atlantis movie.  I am not sure what it was supposed to look like, but that is how mine turned out.  The "Training wheels" reminded me of the trench crossing device that is part of the French FT17 WWI tank.
The 1/2 track is a solido 1;48 scale WWII American 1/2 track with a balsa wood frame.  The "Mechwarrior" vehicle.
Painting all the vehicles, I used the WWII German Camo Orange (Vallejo model color 824).  Then some GW flesh wash.  The tracks are black with mud added back on,  The other parts are various metal colors, silver, "Gunmetal" etc.
I am glad you like them.
