Finally got round to painting up and basing my Shapeways Printed 15mm Russian KV2 Spider Tanks.
The prints are a weird thing in themselves they weigh hardly anything but are quite a sturdy, none-brittle material.
I use water based paints and they take to the printed surface (printed in detail not fuzzy prints) without issue.
The Shapeways 3D prints are expensive but you can get some really amazing models.

Just the decals, rusting and weathering left to do on these now...

Nice! Would you be able to swap the turrets out with other 15mm Soviet tanks (T34, IS2 etc)?

The tank body is hollowed out underneath, so easily drillable to make a larger hole. The current hole is approx 2mm, as is the tank turret post. So.. I would say yes, and you could widen the printed turret poles so they fit all..
