Ordered 1 pack of Panther G's, now toying with them to see what I can do with them.
Pantherturm for Berlin - a almost exact copy of my 20mm model

Just finished scratchbuilding a Regelbau Pantherturm for more rural engagements, added roadwheels to the storage box of the Bergepanther and based up 3 normal Panther Gs and 1 Co Panther G. I just need to cast and base up 3 more Panther G's as wrecks and will then paint them all in one go.
I'm now feeling confident enough to please Modhail and do this for Battlegroup Afrika, and get the basics done for that. I've laid out a budgetplan and now I just need to fill up the meter till I can order them. Till then I'll spend time on the desert scenery and the ruined city, and the aircraft for the air campaign.
Got some pictures up, but nothing painted yet, but if you are so inclined, feel free to check them out >> http://20mmandthensome.blogspot.nl/2016/07/more-3mm-panthers-ahead.html

Nice pieces of kit! I like the bergepanzer: the conversion is almost like a sketch, just hints of what's supposed to be there, but it just reads well, evokes what it the vehicle is about perfectly.
Looking forward to the desert episodes. :)

You'd find 6mm a much more rewarding scale for you talent!

No, I did that for a couple of years, and found the rivalry between GHQ and CinC on one end, and Scotia and Heroics and Ross on the other end offputting.....had plenty of comments about me wasting my time on Heroics and Ross while "GHQ was clearly superior". Yes, if you discount the fact they are goddamn expensive. I've sold almost everything since and put some of the money back into 3mm and my euro goes a lot further in these guys, and I can use my own 80x80 small table to game a good midsized game with. Frankly, the smaller it is, the more fun I have doing them up proper.
But to each their own, I guess..

YIKES!!...80 x 80 = V SMALL!!
Yep ..3mm then.

Think of 80x80cm with 3mm as if you were playing 160x160cm with 6mm ;)

No rivets :(
(Ridiculously good work though! :D )
