Greetings all.
So I ran a captain for a couple games, wherein he did very little before getting killed (as in, dead dead dead)... How are you lot finding them? Useful enough to justify the investment? If you're running them, how are you equipping and using them?

I think there was an earlier thread where there was some discussion on Captains, might be worth trying to seek that out.
For my part I find mine very useful, I'm using a Summoner and the Captain is a tank. I've built him with max armour and health, Possess him at the start of the game and then Leap him to the place where he can do most damage sometimes he does stuff, sometimes he doesn't. As with so many things in Frostgrave, it depends on your luck.

Tbh that's pretty much what I had in mind for mine. I'm also running a summoner, so I'd also hit him with possess early on and send him up the midfield with a couple of beefy henchmen (knights or Templars I suppose) to draw plenty of aggro away from my treasure hunters and wizard.

I used one as a agro magnet until I saw that a Templar dose the same thing cheaper.
I now run a Templar with two Knights as a hit squad.

Two of my four warbands has captains, and both are doing alright. One has even taken out an apprentice and a wizard in hand-to-hand combat.
