Title: The Great Wargaming Survey 2016
Post by: Praefectusclassis on July 27, 2016, 01:30:22 PM
In case it’s somehow escaped your notice up until now, WS&S magazine is currently running the 3rd edition of the Great Wargaming Survey (https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/SM3FXV7). If you’ve taken part before, you’ll be familiar with the drill: it takes about 5-10 minutes - and for many respondents - seems to be a rediscovery of everything that’s fun about this hobby. If you can spare the time, please consider taking part, as the larger the number of participants, the more useful the results. Moreover, there are lots of prizes to be won and a 5 euro gift card for everyone who takes part. Please consider taking a few minutes to fill it out. Your help is very much appreciated!

Curious about the results of previous editions? All blogs and articles can be found here: http://www.karwansaraypublishers.com/pw/wss/blog/coming-soon-the-great-wargaming-survey-2016/

Done and done  :)

The only thing I would mention is that one of the question sets had the favourite number choice the other way round.

cheers

Thanks guys! James, do you remember which question that was?

Not off the top of my head, sorry. It was the only question with a drop down menu (I took the survey on my iPhone), the rest were tick box.

Hope that helps.

cheers

James

Done too.
Blast, next year I'll enter a new age group  :(

I just finished it, and I can't remember either, but James is right I think - it was in the second half of the questionnaire.

I'll try to figure it out. Thanks for the heads-up! If I find it, it'll go into the file for next year. We try to do fewer dumb things every year.  :D

(yes, next year I'll be in a new group too. Tempting to change them, but that'd be cheating the facts...)

Lol, allow me to be the one to induct you all into The League of Distiguished Gentlemen Gamers! Members have access to low rates on home insurance (for pewter flood/crushed attic damage), discounts at several popular optomotist outlets and on lighted magnifiers, counseling on their addictions to all things "old school", and the chartered right to whinge about the younger generation, in particular their painting skills, choice of rulesets, their lack of appreciation for certain older miniatures, and lack of manners while pasting League members on the tabletop.

To help you with your transition to this hallowed League, I recommend you practise the following phrase - "Back in my day..."

Oh, and free anoraks!  ;D

Do you mean question 13, where 1 was not interested and 5 was very interested?

Crap, you're right. In most cases, it's 1 least - 5 most interested, except in question 14. I'll make a note for next year!
