Cool, have been looking at your engineers of the guard and was wondering if these were present at Waterloo and if so what were they doing during the battle? Were they used for attacking La Haye Sainte, Hougemont or just waiting at the baggage train? Wouldn't minding fielding a small unit of them.

Squeaky and Belgian many thanks............
the Engineers and Marines were few in number
and it seems involved at Charleoi clearing the bridge
the "old guard" company only wore the splendid helmet
they seem to have been kept in reserve with the ist Grenadiers
and chasseurs :D

cheers
