I painted these Studio Miniatures as soon as they arrived from their recent Kickstarter. Hopefully I've captured their terrible plight.

Nicely done :)

I like those :-*

Well painted.
I love them.

I haven't got past opening the box yet! Very nicely done, where did you get the uniform references from?

thanks for all the nice comments. I looked at various sources for the uniform, Osprey North west frontier and old oil paintings etc. One article I read mentioned the officers could have had facing colours on their greatcoats. I decided to add a bit more colour, due to the drab nature of the winter wear.

I remember a Bill Horan diorama of this Last Stand , in an old Military Modelling magazine, and he's depicted an nco in a greatcoat with yellow collar, cuffs and chevrons.
If that's any help ?
I think they look great and agree the added colour works :)

Wow, great work! Really wish I'd gotten around to signing up for that KickStarter. Hopefully they'll be available for sale to the general public relatively soon -- albeit at slightly higher cost.

I remember that great diorama from Military Modelling! It's even more evocative than the famous painting.
Must try to persuade Studio to produce some more packs that replicate other poses from it - casualties, infantry without greatcoats etc.

Does this range have specific nco minis in it,also it would be great to see some of the other poses replicated. :)

Very good :)

Although very keen on it as a concept I left the skirmish line pack off my pledge in the end for exactly this reason.
Lovely figures but too many in greatcoat/shako combination. Some in Tunic with forage cap or bareheaded would be great to go with this set.

I feel cold just looking at those photos! Nicely done.

Wonderful work! I will use this as a template when I paint mine :)

Lovely paint work!
I got my kickstarter deal yesterday. The plan is to start painting them next winter.Just working on too many projects now...
The upcoming Osprey campaign on the 1st Afghan war is also ordered for further inspiration!

Oh, I really like these!
Don't know much about the conflict but these figures are very , very appealing.
Up until 7 months ago I also knew next to nothing about the Indian Mutiny and now I have a 40+ book library and I'm painting 200+ rebel sepoys.
If anything Id like to see those in a bit more ragged dress.
