Title: Battle of Timmaspe - 1864 revisited

We played out a game based on one of von Schlieffen's scenarios. It involved a Danish infantry corps invading northern German in the early weeks of the Great War. Von Schlieffen's concern was that Denmark might take advantage of the Germans being committed to two major battlefronts. The write-up and photos are here:

Nice AAR. I wouldn't have seen that scenario (ie a Danish attack on Germany) as very likely. Since the Danes got mauled in 1864 it worked a bit like WWII for the Germans as I understand it; all the macho fighters got killed off and only the pacifists survived.
