Necron or a Chaos Android? ;)
I painted this 1998 Necron ispired by the classic paint scheme of the chaos android in the Space Crusade box.

They're definitely a bit goofier than modern Necrons!  And that's a good thing.  Your PJs are a great homage to that era!

 I'm a big fan of the old metal Necrons. In fact; I have an entire army of them; the units that were not sculpted, I converted. I even made a pyramid shaped Monolith and an obelisk shaped Pylon (I stuck closely to a Egyptian theme). I just did a count, and I still have near to a hundred of the little blighters lying about, which would give me the actual legion of space undead I always wanted as a kid lol

Mine are the traditional metal, with blue and gold, plus green energy weapons, but your iteration does tickle all kinds of fuzzy feelings for Space Crusade. You captured the Chaos Android look perfectly; well done!

I'm really loving your project; all kinds of old school goodness, with great paint jobs; keep up the good work. :)

Just received my copy of space crusade (starquest here) in the mail.
I was already wondering how to do the androids. Simple silver won't quite do.
I decided to embrace the cheesiness of the casts in the box and give them all fitting over the top 1990 paintjobs, colourful and bright.

Seeing this, I made the right choice. Wonderfull stuff.

I painted the necron Lord for my squad of Necrons (or Chaos Androids).
Again I painted using the paint scheme of the Chaos Android from the Space Crusade boardgame.

Christmas cakes those guys were tough buggers in 2nd.  I really liked them more back then.  The faceless unstoppable horde with about four model options.  lol

Here a swarm of 5 necron scarabs.
I've some doubts about the paint scheme of the scarabs, maybe a black paint scheme with red jaws could be better (like the weapons of the necron warriors).
What do you think?
