Title: The Ox - The World's First Flat-pack Truck
Post by: von Lucky on 17 September 2016, 09:03:12 AM
The Ox is billed as "the world's first flat-pack van" - a two-wheel drive, off-roader made of marine plywood that can be assembled by non-experts in under 12 hours and travel 1,000km (620 miles) without filling up.

Would be perfect as an MDF or card product:

Hopefully these will be seen all over the world in years to come.

Gordon Murray huh?  Interesting.  It's a neat idea though the size of the packaging makes the "flat pack" option a little silly.  Even packed flat the thing would be about 60-70% of its completed size, and the added effort to move the package instead of rolling/driving the vehicle itself is a little pointless.  Interesting nonetheless.  I think I'll have to look more into this.  The concept is cool.
