Title: More 8th Edition Warhammer Empire v Orcs
Post by: TWD on September 23, 2016, 05:52:54 PM
Another evening, another classic match of (proper) Warhammer

Looks like another great game.

Those boarboys were pretty tough.  I'm surprised they had such stick-with-itness, especially on the flank charge by the knights.  It looks like the latter were the MVSs of the game.

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it.

It was the regular Boys who got caught in the flank, and the Warboss on the corner meant they were able to give almost as good as they got (the knights had no ranks so they weren't stripping ranks so the boys were stubborn on a 9 with a re-roll). I think my opponent was just throwing anything at the Orc unit to stop it charging the tower so he could hang on for the win!

The Boarboys charged halberds in the flank, but likewise got a rank knocked off, so the halberds were stubborn with a re-roll and then re-formed. But that's better than my boarboys usually do.
My and my opponent both love the models (some of GWs finest I reckon) but they're generally pretty rubbish in 8th edition. :)
