I'm very excited by this release, Sander has done a fantastic job getting this range into production, Michael Percy has done a great job with the sculpting and the attention to detail and pose, so I am looking forward to seeing some Dutch armies take center stage on wargames tables across the world.

This is great news - I've been awaiting these with much anticipation over the last few months (still have to wait another few weeks, though!). The pre-production pics of their planned Landsverk armoured car are very mouth-watering, too.
-
Indeed. I was talking to Sander earlier this morning and I believe the 'Verk' went off to the printers yesterday.
-
It maybe obvious somewhere but I didn't find it - what's in the platoon deal?

Last night I finished painting and basing my first batch of the excellent 1940 Dutch figures from May '40 Miniatures. Just 6 in the test batch, I have the other 42 primed and ready to go. The figures were a joy to paint, great lines and easy colors. Sally 4th is the UK stockist, we have them all in stock for mail order from our web site and we will be carrying them on our trade stand at UK shows. Our first shows are Vapnartack in York, ROBIN in Nottingham, Hammerhead in Newark. I'm planning to have a complete platoon of Dutch in our figure cabinet by the first show on 5th February.

Wow, they paint up pretty well. I also like the clear baseing. How do you attach them to the bases?
-
Glad you like them, all I do to glue figures to clear bases is to put a drop of super glue on each foot, touch feet on to a piece of paper to remove excess glue and stick on base. If their is only 1 foot touching base, and foot is small I might drill a hole through base and underneath of foot to strengthen joint with a pin, but I only have to do this in very rare cases. None of the May 40 miniatures needed a pin.
-
Using tissue to remove excess is a clever touch.
