I'm getting an itch to get some figs for Mutants and Death Ray Guns to play some Thundarr the Barbarian adventures. Does anyone have any ideas on what figures I can use - either straight or without too much conversion?
It'd be sweet to be able to get each figure twice - once on foot and once mounted.
Here's some reference in case you're not familiar:

Who didn't love that show as a kid.
The world changed in 1994, how funny does that seem now.

The barbarian is from Reaper miniatures, with conversions. Ukla is a heroclix Sasquatch, built up with some green-stuff I think. Arial is an old Ral Partha Dancing girl. She requires the most converting. I've also copied this idea, but went with this barbarian from Reaper instead:

and replaced the sword with transparent, orange plastic.

The 15mm Superfigs (http://www.oldglory25s.com/index.php?cat_id=815&catname=%2715mm%20Superfigs%27) have Thundarr, Ukla and Arial.

Ah, the highly saturated nostalgia is coming back to haunt me ;D.

Sweet!! I couldn't find anything when I searched. I'd much rather stick with 28mm as opposed to 15mm, so those conversions are inspirational.
If I can get those three done, then I'd certainly be trying to recreate all sorts of terrain and villains from the show.
And MDRG is such a perfect rule-set for it! (IMHO)
(There are lots (maybe all) of the episodes on youtube BTW.)

Great job on the conversions. The 15mm super system figures made me wish there were 28mm versions. At least now you have shown how someone could do it.
