Looking for street signage in 28mm:
Underground - you know, the London tube style
Lamps
Fire hydrants
Letter boxes, Royal Mail or otherwise
And other such ephemera to dress up a set.
Any sources appreciated.

I can't help with London Transport signage, but the typeface used for it all is called "Johnston" or "Johnston Sans" - there are liekly to be lookalike fonts available.
Good sources of street furniture include:

Oddly Ainsty don't make the Tube signs! Everything but. So weird.
I literally cannot find them.
ANYONE? ANYONE?

What signs are you really looking for?
Unless there is something strange about the Underground signs I don't remember, wouldn't it be pretty easy to do a google image search for "Hogsmeade Stationn underground sign" then just print it to a bit of card? (Obliviously replacing Hogsmeade with what ever station you actually wanted)

Actually a good idea, and one I hadn't considered!
I like the 3D version seen on the Crooked Dice website but I have no clue where they got it - laser mdf? Who knows.
Probably just print and mount as you suggest.
Thanks.

Hey Grant
I just found these http://www.metromodels.net/accessories_range.htm they are OO scale so a smaller than you probably need. You may have some luck looking for O scale signs.
I couldn't find it but there was a thread on here about the construction of Crooked Dice's display board with the Underground on it. Try messaging uti long smile he should be able to shed some light on it.

The CD sign won't be commercial. Andy Mac will no doubt have made it. The clever git that he is.

Just spent about £30 on the metro models - probably a bit small but exactly what I want. I'll post pics when they come. Have to print the blue bit with my own made up signage but they have a template so easy!
Brilliant - thanks!

Possibly a bit late, but I just searched on-line and printed them out for mine:

No guarantees but have a look at the London Transport Museum gift shop.
http://www.ltmuseumshop.co.uk/ (http://www.ltmuseumshop.co.uk/)
They have model tube trains(s-gauge) also look at pins and magnets etc.
Might be useful.

Brilliant work overlord.
I actually did dig through that entire London Tube gift shop. Nothing! Except lots of cool gifts. Lol.
More work to follow. I'll start a thread shortly with all the ideas etc. I'm back in 28mm!

Cancelled the 1/76 stuff / it's going to be so small. I'll just start over with a rethink.

Try looking at the Kingsway Models website, they have a free download of "Walford East" tube station in 1/76 as a cardboard model.
http://www.kingswaymodels.com/page27.htm (http://www.kingswaymodels.com/page27.htm)
Download and print out with the appropriate enlargement and you'll have all sorts of signs/posters/floor and wall textures.
