Title: Boardgame rules on a hexed table (ACW)
Post by: Norm on October 08, 2016, 11:41:15 PM
This is a blog article concerning boardgame ACW rules that have been used in a hexed battlefield with 4" Kallistra tiles and 12mm figures.

Very neat idea.
Many years ago, (about 20).
I played a rounded with some SYW board games.
Used some of the same ideas you used.
The games  played out alright.
I just never followed through
to see how far I could push it.
It was like playing a 3 D board game.

Thanks, my back is playing me up at the moment, so the hexes were very helpful in moving things around the table without having to lean in and do precise measuring etc with two arms outstretched (a back stress position).

I like the work you have done here. I have both Kallistra hexxon tiles and the folio games from DG - the latter are great to drop into a pocket in the rucksack when away for a night or two. Not familiar with the Sabre & Bayonet rules, so may well look those up, as I have plans for 15mm GNW games using the tiles.

Many thanks for the inspiration  :)
