Today you can see more monuments from battlefields of the Franco-Prussian war.
But first, I will show you the socalled „Ehrenhalle“, a commemorative chapel, in Gravelotte, just opposite to the museum.

Very interesting. I'm surprised that much of the monumentation has survived from a war that must seem ancient history by now. Good to see. Thanks for posting these.

Yes. I was also surprised. We talk about german victory monuments in France, surviving the horrors of two World Wars. That's really incredible. But I'm really happy that they survived the wars.
