Hi all. I needed something new in my war gains life and a friend said to add a Colonial project to my collection and told me to look into TMWWBK. I quickly got hooked by the cover. I ordered some Perry Pathans to get going and I have been studying the Maiwand Day blog.
What flesh color would you recommend for the Pathans?

I would go to Google images and type in 'Pathan face' or 'Pashtun'. Lots of images to give you an idea of the right skin tones.

It was my experience that they have the same range of most caucasians from pale to darker tan dependent on their status and occupation. I would assume not much has changed in the last 100+ years.

I paint my European Caucasians with a suitable 'fleshtone' then wash with something like AP's Soft Tone. For Asian Caucasians I wash with a AP's Strongtone. Layer and highlight from there. The difference is subtle but noticeable.
