Hello Chaps
Thought you might like to look at my new Pathan Cavalry so far I have done 2 packs along with another pack of Pathan infantry. The figures were painted by Stewart from War Paint Figures.

Really nice. :-* These guys are on my wish list.

Nice, but who is the manufacturer?
-
they are nice..i just need a few of them to complete my TSATF 12 castings unit....but one doubt arise, as i like to stick to historical correct approach, i never find evidence in written sources of any use of horses by NWF tribesmen...maybe some few ones could be find mixed in regular Afghan Cavalry at Maiwand...but never read about them on the classic MWF

The horse culture in Afghanistan is very strong- it is not unreasonable to think that some/several/many would be mounted.
-
I think I'd risk a unit anyway .....nice figures as ever from Ironclad!

Hu Rhu Thanks for explaining, and not pointing out that I had missed the big clues in the thread title and the poster's name! Doh.

Yes i know...just think about Polo matches..or kind of....but really did'nt find any evidence on my not small library about NWF warfare...of armed tribal horsemen in action..

Easily done.

Rather nice.
After many years where it was the very wonderful Foundry Pathans by Michael Perry or Old Glory, we are now getting a plethora of nice new Pathan ranges appearing. Feast or famine!
