After a two year hiatus from painting WW1 I'm now back painting my favourite period 1914. The project will be slow over the bushfire season here for us at the moment, but will ramp up in Autumn.
I'll be switching between countries as I paint my collection.
The British will consist of three dismounted cavalry squadrons, RHA of two guns, Cav MG cart and dismounted MG, Bill Bus and RNAS armoured tourer.
The Belgian faction will consist of one unit each of Grenadiers, Carabiniers and line. Cyclist troops, Minerva, Cavalry and artillery. The last two when they are released.
The Germans will consist of a number of units, Cavalry and artillery.
Here are some photos of the lastest painting batch. Thanks for looking.

Great start for your project, the early war is a far more interesting subject than the later trench slog, looking forward to seeing how you get on with this. :)

Thank you. After submitting a number of entries in the WW1 Painting Club including the Minerva two years ago it was time to get back into the colour for 1914.

Very nicely turned out indeed Helen.
Let's hope Dave's mojo returns in the new year and we see some more releases for the range.

Thanks Phil, I do hope Dave releases some 1914 codes next year as it will only bring additional splendor to the range.

Lovely 8)
Reminds me that I need to add some Belgians to my own 1914 project.

Lovely. These are the Brigade Models Belgiums?

@Helen – Astounding painting! :)
@jambo1 – The reorganisation of platoons into self-contained units of LMG, bombers, rifles and rifle grenadier sections makes the Late War tactically much more interesting although admittedly the uniforms aren’t as nice.

Being a SYW, WSS and Napoleonics it's all about the uniforms for me!! ;D

Thank you. The foot are Great War Miniatures and the dog cart is Brigade Models.

Glad to see you back at it, Helen! 1914 really was the last gasp of the colourful field uniform in the west; after that it's just the RCW if you want a bit of colour in certain regiments.

Great stuff. :)

These are fantastic! So great to see you back at it!

Thanks everyone! More pics soon.

I'm delighted to see you back in the saddle :)

Amazing stuff!

Beautiful work. And I second those who enjoy the early war more. Those trenches are too dpressing for a simple minded folk like me. The naivety of the early war however feels quite charming.

Thanks guys for your kind words.

Very nice work Helen! I do not envy you though as painting all that piping would turn me cross-eyed.

Thanks so much guys for your kind words.

I like your painterly type of style Helen. Compared to that my painting is basically just colouring in [sigh].
Look forward to seeing more.

Thank you.
