Very nice indeed. Watched this for a few mins on Saturday. Best display game there by some way.

Wow, brilliant show that.  8) 8) 8)
Very nice, from the troops to the scenery. The snow on the roofs is very effective, as is the proper forest of trees. And the Panzer IV barely making its way through the narrow street makes for an epic scene.
The mat worked brilliantly - which company makes it, please?

Outstanding work. Absolutely outstanding.

By coincidence, a gaming buddy of mine is planning to do a winter table mat/cloth and is looking for ideas how to do it - it appears you primarily used paints to shade and highlight, is that right? Or did you actually texture it in places (rough ground)?

Air brushed the brown and green on then in those areas I added flock and silver birch leaves the buried it in white paint,i used matt emulsion for most things once I ran out of all my other white paint Grrrrr
Cheers AL

Fantastic looking table - great work.

Makes me cold just looking at it.

The charge across the field to the haystacks looks just like BoB!

Hands down one of the most incredible tables I've ever seen! I took a couple of pictures on Saturday and wished I took more! I would love a close up on the US and German infantry they were some serious eye candy too!

Simply stunning, one of the best set ups I've seen. All the invidual pieces are really nicely tied in. Congratulations on a really beautiful looking game.

Only saw Foy in the flesh but it was superb work; also got to meet alcal and got a full run down on what was what and how he did it. Best looking game in the show.

Brush Unibond(PVA) onto the roof in the shape you want then throw fine sand on it, let dry paint with white matt emulsion cheaper than hobby paints, then dry brush the rest.Cheers AL

You have a great eye for the overall effect. It looks very convincing, like an areal photo, which is IMO what one should aim for, given the scale of the miniatures. Many gamers get bogged down in the details.

This is awesome !!!!! These tables beat everything I have seen for a long time. Very well done ! It feels cold just by looking at the pictures. Well, I am off getting myself a hot drink  ;)

Thanks for that! I was figuring some sort of snow effect product, but you've proved you don't need the branded stuff for a great look! I'll file that tip away somewhere in the memory banks!

Foy uses the Early War Miniatures dirt track (not very wide but works for us)
Stavelot yeh MDF with printed stone glued to it.

If you are using it for 28mm games/buildings you need `o` scale that is also the scale of the road paper.

Cheers Alan

Ps the factories are also clad in the same type of paper.

Al, as I sit here typing this reply the temperature is 13 degrees and quit cold here in Wyoming.
Your wargaming table literally gives me the chills while enjoying it, I love to gaze at your custom creations of historical wargaming tables.

Your efforts are very inspiring and thank you Sir for sharing the images.
