The next project I started , apart from the halfmen army, is this medieval public house. It can certainly be used for fantasy games ,too.

Beautiful. A true labour of love.
I plan on getting a good hot wire cutter and start some stuff like this too.
It's really nice material to work with.

That looks really great!
What do you use to glue the foam together?
What do you do once built to seal it? Is is "tough" enough, or do you just need to be gentle with it?
I'm jealous of your stonework, I can't seem to get mine to ever come out nice like that.
-
DS615, I use ordinary wood glue (PVA) to glue the polystyrene . There is special glue for that but PVA is just fine.
When the building is finished I use a mix of diluted PVA and black Gesso as a basecoat and sealant that is all. Of course you can't step on it but for wargaming that is enough protection.
The stonework is very easy to do if you know the trick. I use the handle + ferrule of an old brush ( a really big one like aNo 5 or 10 ) . The bigger the brush the bigger the stones will be. Plug out all the bristles so that you have an empty ferrule. The ferrule is obviously round so you have to get a pair of tongs and shape it squarish. With this selfmate instrument you always get the same size of stone imprinted on the styrene.
Hope that helps

With the barn I try a different way of building the walls. I use bricks made from air drying clay .

Thanks James

This individual brick thing has gotten completely out of hand! Now people are starting to build stuff of actual bricks!
Looks damned good though..

What's next? 28mm workmen robots who build the terrain buildings themselves?
Does look good!

I had some time to do more work on the barn and start the privy. I did the roof of the barn, only the teddy fur missing. The privy is only missing the door and the roof.

I started painting the privy by doing a dry brush after base coating it black. I used van Dyk brown, a very dark brown , and added more and more light brown to it in each layer. This is the result:
