On a bun or with fries? :-)
Our expansion of our 15mm late 16th century range continues. The Ottomans are well underway and once they are done, the Muscovites of Ivan the Terrible and Boris Godunov will come next.
Streltsy are an interesting troop type, because of the axe and the firearm. How do you prefer your streltsy? advancing with the axe in one hand and the firearm in the other, or in shooting poses, with the firearm resting on the axe?

Probably shooting, but a mix wouldn't hurt.

Only one person has an opinion? :^)

I am with Von Lucky: a mix of figures.

I like the combo of axe/rest and firing musket best. Unless there are rules for a separate assault party with mixed weapons where like the Janissaries in close combat they'd choose their own weapon combos - but it does beg the question in those circumstances what did they do with all the impedimentia for the muskets? I would have thought they'd get in the way of a decent axe swing from a berdische. :?

They're recruiting them a bit young eh? That's not a fair tactic having an ankle biter to kneecap the enemy! :o
-
I always like the shooting pose, but I'm not a potential customer - I do only 10mm.

Hi Khursan
The Ottomans sound great do you have any photos of work in progress?
Also an ETA on the Germans, English for the late 16th cent?
By the way got my last order from Khursan, as always great figures and great service.

Hi Khursan
Any news on when more of the 16th century range will be released?
Thanks
William

Partially unrelated question, but does anyone make steltzi or more broadly muscovite flags for this period. My preference would be for 28mm.

I vote for shooting. However, I have never seen a figure of Streltsy swinging the axe...that would be interesting. This is period I would do in 15mm.
