With the British attempting to pacify the southern colonies, a column under Sir Gerrard Mandering moves into Trump County, North Carolina to collect sword statements of loyalty to the Crown from the population. Sadly, things don't go to plan. As you can read here:

It was an unusual game due to attempts to represent horrific weather conditions (which we will do slightly differently next time), but it was a close run thing. AWI really is one of my favourite periods for Sharp Practice as the troops variation is so wide and varied and the rules really allow that to come out.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy the report.

Lovely stuff!! I really must get my AWI project back up and running. Looks like it was a great game and lovely figures. :)

Thanks chaps
I really like the AWI with Sharp Practice as the rules allow us to highlight some quite subtle differences in troop types and the AWI has varied troop types in spades.

Very enjoyable account, thanks. The Sharp Practise game at Crisis 2016 looked very exciting too, I must say.

You'd need a figure in an orange jumpsuit, wouldn't you?
