Last Friday I bought the Terminator Genisys box and a blister of Heavy Weapon Endoskeletons from Warlord Games (NB! The box is still for sale for £20…a steal!). With the plastic Combat Zone troopers in my collection, I have more than enough regular Resistance soldiers. And Warlord Games accidentally sent a box of plastic Terminators instead of the Heavy Endoskeletons*, so I also have enough Terminators.
Adding to the humans will be easy…some jeeps or Humvees with machine guns and done. That should be easy with regular modern ranges. But for the Terminators it gets a bit more tricky. Do you guys have any good suggestions for:
Hunter Killer aerial (the flyer)
Hunter Killer T-1 (the tracked gun platform)
Of course River Horse sells the Spider Tank (not too cheap though). And I saw that Playmates (what a name…) sold plastic models of these, but I can’t really find them at good prices. So do you guys have good suggestions for these? Thank you!
*I mailed Warlord Games this morning and the missing blister is already in the mail. Excellent customer service! 8)

I'll have to check, but I think I've got the Hunter Killer and T-1 at home unboxed. I bought them for a Necron/Terminator project that never developed. If I still have them (won't be able to check until Monday, but pretty sure I have), I'll be more than happy to sell them on.
PM me if interested.

There was some fantastic toys available when the second to last terminator film came out. (The one with Christian Bale). They were dirt cheap. There were flyers and some crawler type ones.

I might be wrong, but I think that's the film my T1 and Hunter Killer were released from.

Yes, Salvation...those are the Playmates toys. Really cool stuff! If you have them and are willing to sell them, I'll gladly trade/buy them :-*

Playmates did a Hunter Killer aerial which scales well with 28mm. They were about £5 with a Toys R Us sale when I got mine. The Salvation action figures had a T-1 which is a good as a HK Tank in 28mm.
I've a couple of resin HK tanks which Forbidden Planet had cheap but are now probably going for silly money. Still looking for decent scale moto-terminator bikes if any one has any suggestions.

I've got 2 of them as well, really nice but the body is leaning over slightly. I've thought about cutting it in half and magnetising it.
Pegasus do a 1/35th scale one as well

Let me check when I get home - as I say, it won't be until Monday at the earliest.

and a HK aerial kit as well but the prices in the UK are silly. I've been looking for them in sales but haven't got lucky yet.

In the US, 7 Eleven was selling the motorcycle terminators that were connected to the big gulp straws. A bunch of sent a guy from TMP some cash so he could pick up a lot of them.
The Playmates HK's are very nice. I have 2 or 3 of them. There were also the early HK's and aerial HK sold for Salvation, IIRC. I have them too. I need to create some ruined building to run a game. Got plenty of everything else.
Thanks.

The Playmates Terminator T-1 tank comes up on ebay fairly regularly

I've got 2 of those T1. If nozza_uk doesn't find his, I can sell you mine.

Hi, that's not the Playmates HK tank. It looks like the ones from the 1st Terminator movie. Those are the T-1's from Salvation.

As it's scaled for a six inch action figure it's a passable tank in 28mm. Did Playmates make an actual tank?

Pegasus has the Terminator Hunter Killer tank... But that one is very expensive. The Playmates one is from Salvation, the small tracked one with twin miniguns. But excellent for the game as a stand-in for the big one.
-
I stand corrected. The T-1 is a Playmates toy. I was talking about the Minimates one pictured here:

These are the ones I have as well as the T-1's.
It's plenty large enough. Looks cool and was cheap when I bought mine.

Just to mention this one again - the resin Spider Tank is now £28 in their store.

I have one of these which works for 28mm quite well

yup I picked up one or two of those two. Not that I am gaming Terminator, but they are useful models.

If you're still in the market, Here's an auction for a T-2 Movie Hunter Killer tank put out by Hollywood Collectibles Group maybe 7-8 years ago. They don't come up very often. I have one and there are some pros and cons. They were produced in a rather light resin (same stuff that Applause uses for their figures if you're familiar with it). I'ts a multipart cast, but it comes pre-glued and pre-painted out of the box. On the up side it's much closer to gaming scale than the Pegasus one (11 inches long). On the downside, it's cast from a rather poorly sculpted master. The corners are wonky in places, the scribed panel lines rough and at least on mine, they didn't glue the head on straight. The paint job is a straight up spray silver without any weathering with details painted on the orange and blue lights.
As a movie collectible it's crap, but as a gaming miniature it's not too shabby. If I recall right, it retailed for somewhere around $40, so the current price is ok relative to that. Might be preferable to the Pegasus kit if you want a movie tank.

Looks ace! I think the price will be high (3 days to go, 4 bids in). And shipping is a killer (as always :(). But from the photos it looks great!

I managed to get one of those too off of Akula a good few years back, very nice model.
-
That's the one! I managed to get a pair a few years ago. All of the heads are slightly scu-wiff. I had intended cutting them off and repositioning them. The track section seems better sculpted than the body. Possibly 2 different sculptors?
-
Okay, you guys made me browse the web for one...and I found a copy here in the Netherlands for €24,95 (so €31,90 including shipping). Ordered it right away 8)

Metal HK flyer and Tank coming April......

Are those the resin ones I sold? Another started but never finished project of mine :D

Looks Like I'll be picking up one of those Cinemachines tanks when they are released, a touch small perhaps but should work fine on the table top.

What a PERFECT day this is! The mailman delivered two boxes and what did I find inside...
So the two Terminator Salvation plastic Hunter-Killers from Playmates (left and right, thanks nozza_uk!) and the resin Terminator 1&2 Tank Hunter-Killer from Hollywood Collectibles. And they look awesome for gaming. Enough detail, the right size (and the resin one is almost 1kg!). Perfect!
Terminator 1&2 Tank Hunter-Killer
(http://paintoholic.nl/temp/t2.jpg)
(the casting's a bit wonky here and there and the paintjob is terrible, but for gaming this model is terrific!)
Terminator Salvation Aerial Hunter-Killer
(http://paintoholic.nl/temp/t3.jpg)
Terminator Salvation T-1
(http://paintoholic.nl/temp/t4.jpg)
(he'll be used as a Spider Tank in the Terminator game, a lighter version of the Tank...which seems suitable to me)
So excellent models and great for gaming. If you are into Terminator, get these. LAF, thanks for helping me out getting them (with special mentions to nozza_uk and rwwin).
Oh, and here's what happened *within 5 minutes* after opening the package...

lol
Duckhunt (the models can actually shoot! The Aerial HK shoots missiles and the T-1 shoots his miniguns..literally). He was so sad he had to go to bed after dinner that dad had to promise him he could play with them tomorrow after school :D
