Yes, a mountain with 4 perfect angled sides ...

Yes, they are, but the story is not.

Try this explanation

https://www.metabunk.org/burying-the-debunk-how-fake-news-about-pyramids-in-antarctica-creates-false-balance.t8193/

It lacks the popup add nonsense all over it that others do

Oh and according to the antarctic survey stuff elsewhere it is the British that first started referring to them as pyramid mountains.

I wonder if they find more than three in a row whether they could start referring to them as a toblerone mountain range?

Better not call it that.  If they did, there would be A LOT of explorers down there, devouring the evidence and we'd have nothing left.   ;)

Still bloody fantastic things though, regardless.

And great inspiration for a game or two.

Not having the actual longitude and latitude that Lovecraft gives for the mountains memorized (for shame, I know), you got my hopes up that Google had had cheekily added a MoM reference to the google earth map of Antarctica.

FramFramson, you can find the MoM's coordinates and map in the Chaosium publication CHA2380 Beyond the Mountains of Madness  ;)

I don't care as long as it has a ton of shoggoths inside it.
