Hey everyone,
I just wanted to let you know that we have a new Kickstarter project beginning on the 26th of December... we're looking to fund some more anthro animal miniatures, and a terrain set... and we're doing it a little differently this time, as we are only going to be live for 24 hours!
Here's a link to the KS video if you want to hear me and Jo randomly waffling at a camera, and below that are a few pics of the type of thing we're hoping to fund...

Cheers James! Yeah, I like the spaniel too... I sometimes wish I'd just done dogs - there's loads of great faces you can sculpt with dogs! :D
-
I love that stone circle. :-* I hope I remember to pledge that day... lol

Yey! I'm glad you love the stone circle, I must admit I'm well chuffed with it. Michael's painted up my 1st cast and they look really good, can't wait to get them on the gaming table :)
-
calendar, reminder and alarms set... :)
-
Look lovely, really tempted by your range as they are lovely models. :)
-
I really like the circle...
-
Thanks everyone! :)
Anyway, here's a link to the project preview page, if anyone fancies a look:

Phone alarm set. I need (want) all the minis and the circle. I was hoping for more cold blood animals for the Wilbeasts bands, but the barn owl is more than enough (for now, but I dream with frog warriors and lizard wizards for a future).

More cold-bloods are on the sculpting list.. hopefully I'll be able to start on them around February, I think!
-
Great news for cold-blood lovers!Amphibians to the power!
Also: Any plans for Dark 7?
And also: FOUR children at university!! Really?!! Come on, now resin and green stuff are the key for rejuvenation??!!

Any plans for Dark 7?
I'm told the first 14 models are being master moulded today; I'm still messing around with the rules, which I think will be in the form of a pack of cards. Then hopefully I'll get to sculpt lots more models next year! We're also trying out something new and weird with terrain for it, which will either be amazingly good, or so bad we'll hide it and pretend it never happened...

No, only three at uni..... the oldest has already left and become a chartered accountant! :D

Evil people! :o. I just thought, " I wonder how that arcane circle would work in 15/18mm games?" o_o. Good thing I am retiring and froze my buying until the dust settles with OPM (Office of Personnel Management) torpidity processing...
-
But that just means you need an arcane circle to paint during your retirement... ;)
Anyway, an owl & a pussycat:

While they are all great sculpts, Honest Tom is soooo goood.
I have no need for animals but that Tom is so good I would love to paint him just for the kick.

Like one arcane circle - assuming it would work for 15/18mm figures - too? I still think you are Evil. Not sure that is a bad thing... lol
Edit: Watched the YouTube. Great project idea. Want to assist by buying the Arcane Circle. Willing to pay a bit more than normal because at 145mm it would be a small temple/sanctuary for 15mm or even larger in solo 6mm "Not quite RPG gaming" play.
If you can arrange that then I will put in my U$D worth of support. You two young people (I am 66 so you may only be young at heart in comparison but your attitude is great) and if you set up a stand alone price for the Arcane Temple then count me in.

Thank you! It should work fine for 15/18mm, the only bit that might not is the altar stone (the centre section is removable, and there'll be 3 different inserts by the end), and yes, there's a pledge just for the Arcane Circle set... hope you'll be able to back us! :)

Also, 'How I done sculpted it' update, if anyone fancies a look. I'll post it as a proper Workbench post when I get time on Wednesday...

I'm so chuffed you like the terrain...once I've got the kids shipped back to Uni I'll start casting sets in earnest... so you hopefully won't have too long to wait :D
-
...and speaking of the Circle, here's one I painted earlier:
And here's how Jo made the terrain: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/oathsworn/burrows-and-badgers-new-blood-anthro-animal-miniat/posts/1772473 (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/oathsworn/burrows-and-badgers-new-blood-anthro-animal-miniat/posts/1772473)
There's also updates on how she moulded and cast it, too.
cheers
Michael

Nice explanation of the process.
-
Thanks! We like doing the step-by-step stuff... I'll have to turn them into Workbench posts!
Anyway, free mouse scribe for all backers now...

It's Redwall's Methuselah! Congratulations on a successful project - I guess that answers the question, will a 24 hour kickstarter campaign work?

Thanks! Yeah, we've invented the Flash Kickstarter... 24 hours is the new 30 days! :D
It's been a fun ride.
-
Thank you to all our noble and heroic backers - the 24 hour Burrows & Badgers FlashKickstarter was a great success! :D

Congrats Michael :)
Happy to be part of your kickstarter again, looking forward to add those lovely minis to the ones I have allready :D
-
Thank you! :)
Right, I'm off to put the sculpting updates into the Workbench...
-
Just stumbled over this yesterday and thought it might be worth sharing:
https://www.amazon.de/BURROWS-BADGERS-Michael-Lovejoy/dp/1472826655/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1493757750&sr=8-5&keywords=gary+chalk
Not only that I like the minis and the rules, but knowing that one of my favourite fantasy artist will make the illustrations makes that a "must buy" for me :D
-
Well spotted, Comsquare! I hadn't realised this had already gone up on Amazon...
I must admit, I had a massive fanboi moment when Gary agreed to do the art. His Lone Wolf and early GW stuff was a massive influence on me; I loved the 'Bloodbath at Orc's Drift' cover. Although it feels really weird giving 'art direction' to someone who clearly knows a lot more about it than I do! ::)
That cover image on Amazon is just a place holder - I expect the cover will have a badger on it, or something. But that's up to Osprey...
cheers
Michael
