This pertains to my interests.

Nice! I will have to figure out how to give it the same Egyptian treatment I gave Frostgrave… I can't think offhand of any island group with a thriving culture that was contemporary with the New Kingdom…certainly not the Myceneans or the Trojan War…
-
Excellent. I sense a lot of Pirate related hobbying in 2017.

Very interesting...two questions leap to mind:
Are we going to be seeing a plastic pirates box set?
And, how cross-compatible will the games be? Could one play a game pitting a Wizard's warband against a Heritor warband if one were inclined towards a big mash-up of the two games?
-
YES! Reaper Bloodstone Gnome-Incan/Mayan/Aztec-cannibal-pygmies here I come!

From reading the link, you can fight wizard versus heritor but it may be very unbalanced.

Awesome!
Now I can use all of my "Lustria" jungle island terrain with Frostgrave... woohoo!
-
Appetite firmly wetted.
-
A Lustria rip-off, but with better rules? And Pirates? OMG! :o

Quick note, the above picture is not from the game and was taken from the internet to illustrate my Wargame News and Terrain blog post. Not sure where you found it but it was mentionned below the picture in my blog post. Would have been cool though!

Chinese pirates!!
As a fan of Wuxia, I would LOVE to do a boxed set of plastic Chinese pirates/bandits/adventurers.
I would be surprised if the demand was there to justify the investment in plastic, but I'm almost certain that there will be a metal figure or two that will fit the bill...
-
Build me a Chinese metal warband and consider it sold :D.

Am I the only one who thought of Conan sailing the seas of the Black Coast? This setting has more pull to me then the frozen city.
-
I've just been checking out the existing North Star ranges, all the animals and Jungle Cannibals look nice. Plastic Zulu's from Warlord will also make nice conversion parts. Here's hoping for some pirates and reptile men plastics...

Open to interpretation is how I like to write a setting. It means more people get to play in the setting they want.
-
:) well done joe...BRAVO!

This is exactly what came to my mind as well. I loved the Howard and Jordan books, and this just screams Conan on the high seas.

Me too - Treasure of Tranicos (Savage Sword of Conan comic visuals). Can't wait for this.
-
This means my Eureka Portuguese chaps can charge around Brazil and Africa looting?! Bonza!

In case you missed it...

Nice interview. I wonder if "a little bigger" means the mounted rules?
