Not sure whether to post this in commercial or here, but went for here, as it's fairly subject specific.
Found this book mentioned on another forum today, so impluse bought a copy. There are some reviews on http://www.modelersnotebook.com/, so it looks promising.
It's available on Amazon, as well as other book sites. If anyone already has a copy, was it good, or have I just bought a new doorstop ::)

I had this book and found it interesting, but on the whole most of the information is available elsewhere. I bought it for my son who was at the time doing a degree in computer design and technology. He thought it was OK but in the end the book reverted back to me. I think I sold my copy on e-bay and have not missed it.
In summary the sort of book that is interesting to read once but not one that would be regularly referred back to.
I would suggest that borrowing it from the library would be the best bet.
I hope that this helps.

It does, thanks :)
It's one of those subjects that I always feel I want to learn, but never know where to start. Hopefully having all the bits in one place will at least let me use it as a starting point for further reading.
Now I just need to find the time to read it, as there are a whole bunch ahead of it in the queue. But hey, I waited four days before the first impluse buy of the year, pretty much a record for me lol
