Hi all,
I've been very inspired by the Game of Thrones armies on show here, so I thought I'd share mine too.
I was initially inspired by the article in WSS magazine, and I'm trying to get a bit of a campaign off the ground at my local club using Lion Rampant. It's kind-of getting there slowly, we hope to start it in April.
So here's what I've got so far:
Starks (foot serjeants)
Lots of kitbashing with these guys, but I pushed the limits of different north-looking heads! I started out trying to go book-authentic with just white shields, but I got tired of it and started putting some green in them too.
Tallhart and Hornwood Archers
(http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20161025/2b397d1054d99de651cb5f482f67e154.jpg)
I was also initially just going to do Starks, but again I got sick of doing the same colour scheme so I decided to paint my archers as soldiers of the bannermen of Tallhart (green) and Hornwood (orange). It kind of makes sense to me that they'd drag some soldiers away from their lords whilst going on a skirmish.
Foot men at arms

Again, I didn't want to stick to one colour scheme so I went the colourful route and picked men from different houses. These guys were fun as I looked up all the different Northern houses and figured out which were part of Robb Stark's personal guard of noblemen.
So I picked, from left to right:
Cley Cerwyn - Helman Tallhart - Smalljon Umber (front) - Robin Flint (back) - Perwyn Frey - Eddard Karstark
I plan to do the mounted knights next, which will have Robb, Grey Wind and four others I've worked out. I'm also going to do a unit of bidowers, led by the Blackfish.
Cheers

Welcome to the GoT addicts here on the forum! Very nice figures you build and painted :-*

Really nice, both kitbashing and painting. Thanks for sharing

Splendid work :)
It's a slippery slope though, you won't know when to stop lol
cheers

Good stuff! Welcome to the GoT-aholics anonymous.

Very nice indeed.
I particularly like the Starks.
The touch of variety whilst keeping an element of uniformity is spot on.

Splendid 8)

Very nice!
Considering them I'm really not a fan of some of the sculpts you've used (fireforge plastics, and also are the archers conquest plastics?), I really like how these have come out. The overall look of them in groups is very effective, nice painting and great choice of colours. Well done!

My thoughts exactly...
You've done a really good job there, given that the Conquest archers in particular are (IMHO) not very good figures. But the overall look is great. Particularly like the Starks.
Shall I add you to the LAF GOT compendium thread then? :)
Looking forward to your Blackfish... (Jimbibbly take note - he claims to have finished one, but he hasn't been spotted yet... ;) )

I do not follow GoT (missed early ones never caught up) but as a set of figures, these are really well done.
Thank you for sharing them with us and I hope the go onto many a successful game :)

Wowah such fine guys these are!!
I especially like the guy with the flag among the Starks, and the bowman holding a sword; so much character they have!

Nicely done!
