Title: That post New Year's sinking feeling

This week I took GMT's War Galley off the shelf with a view to using it for a miniatures game. The last time we played I was told never to get it down again because the squadron activation sequence drove everyone crazy / gave them all headaches.

Not to be defeated, because War Galley has some excellent rules mechanisms (outside of said activation sequence), I decided to make a couple of simple amendments to the rules and try again.

This time, the players liked the game enough to want to play it again next week.

Interesting. Got Osprey's 'Poseidon's Warriors' a while ago, but did not get on with getting some ships.  :?
