If you ever thought about, what could be the connection between Eminem and the battle of Rocroi in 1643 ... just read my article. :)
But, you can also read it, if you are only interested in the battle.
Have fun with the Pictures.
Text in german and english.

Is it possible to have the description of the spanish flags, ie from which tercios they belonged please? The calligraphy from the exhibits isn't legible.

We do not know exactly which flags were for this or that tercio, We know which tercios were there, and we have some flag examples from paintings and those which were captured by the French... But sadly we can“t know exactly about Spanish tercios and regiment's flags until 1707

But we do have some evidence to show which flags belonged to which company. At this time, esepcially in Imperial / Hapsburg Tercios flags were by company. France had started on a pth of regiments and hence flags pertaining to that regiment, however, if the Colonel of the regiment changed then sometimes the flag would change as well.

An example of what is known ;)
