We started playtesting skimmers as mounts for our upcoming Pulp Alley campaign in the Lost World of Lemuria, but they have been so much fun we are using them more often now. I am hoping we can make some of these available as early as Feb or Mar.

Is Lemuria a little bit Disney's Atlantis inspired? (Despite the use of "Disney's" I should underline that is not intended to be a perjorative comment!)

Dad's primary inspirations for the Lemuria campaign are an old serial called The Undersea Kingdom and the Pellucidar series. But in my mind, I could definitely see it playing out in a Disney Atlantis style setting. I love that movie. ;)
The idea for the skimmers came about because we really wanted to use some Mounts and hated the idea of having to swap miniatures or whatever. Originally, we wanted to ride dinosaurs or giant bugs, but riding the skimmers works better. It is so easy to hop on and off. Plays great! :D

I am aiming for early Feb to start taking pre-orders for our Pulp Alley Skimmers. Currently, I am finalizing 5 different types, running some test-prints and fine tuning the designs.
The first batch will be 3d printed and will be available in very limited numbers. Then we'll see how it goes from there.

Indeed! We are finding them very useful.

He's talked about making Khan's Juggernaut for Pulp Alley. I don't know if he's started designing one yet but I bet he will. ;)

I watched the whole serial this weekend and it was a great thrill.
