Title: My first painted Frostgrave Enchanter, Apprentice and some Barbarians

this is my first stab into real Fantasy and in particular Frostgrave. I loved the figures from the Northstar range from the very beginning and was playing for a while with the thought of getting some and painting them. Just before Christmas I gave in and decided to paint some as a change to all the historical miniatures I usually tackle. I love the sculpt and painting them was a great pleasure.

Post by: Ogrob on 21 January 2017, 09:23:57 PM: Lovely paintjobs! I also really like the sculpts but all my Frostgrave metals have been horrible casts with pretty bad mold lines, so I mostly stick to plastics.

Post by: Wildonion on 21 January 2017, 10:38:42 PM: Those look great! The red and yellow on the wizard pops beautifully and adds a nice splash for the apprentice. Will you be working through the rest of the Barbarian metals or are you thinking of knocking out the plastics?

I look forward to see what you do with the rest of those barbarians!

I am determined to - at some point in the future - build and paint the plastic soldiers up as 'Birkebeinere', and I think the plastic barbarians will make fine fantasy'ish Slavic eastern european pagans for my Vikings to fight.
