Hello Gents,
After been introduced to Plack Powder ACW by some fellow wargamers i found myself purchasing a box of Perry plastic zouaves.
Here is the first one hopefully with no historical inaccurasies...

Unfortunately I have spotted one. He appears to be standing on a Coca-Cola bottlecap. Coca-Cola wasn't introduced until about twenty years after the Civil War.
Just kidding! :)
Utterly magnificent. I really like your style and your craftsmanship is superb.

Beautifully painted.

Thank you for your kind comments.

Lovely brushwork!
:-* :-*
I have some of these same fellas waiting very patiently in line for some attention.
I can only hope that mine look half as good when I finally get to them.
-
That's so good, you made me cry.

Fine brushwork :-*, if you don't mind me asking what's your recipe for the Union blue?

Fine brushwork :-*, if you don't mind me asking what's your recipe for the Union blue?
I like to create my own colours so without having any navy blue arround i used for the basic tone prussian blue 965 and black (3/1) with a touch of basic flesh 815 to tone it down .
For the highlights i used basic flesh and khaki 988 and the shadows were painted by adding black to the midle tone.
If you want to make the blue look more worn out you can add 1 part off ĺuft/fe uniform 816 to basic tone and increase the ammount of khaki for the highlights.
All colors mentioned are from Vallejo Model Color range.
Dont know if i was of any help.
Thank you for your comment

I ll try my best Captain...
I was wondering if someone could help me with some questions regarding the regiment.
Firstly about their union flag, were they carring the regular one as in the box or one with the stars arranged in a star pattern as shown here:
http://www.civilwar.org/battlefields/secondmanassas/second-manassas-history-articles/5th-new-york-flag-320px.jpg.
Secondly the drum boy's drum could be painted like this:

Or was it painted in a deferent way?
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers
