Says they're an April release. Curse of Dead Mans Hand.
-
Also intrigued by the grave yard/cemetery gate in the background. I didn't think that was a 4Ground piece, but maybe I missed it.
-
I like the idea but these are a little underwhelming some how. Zombie fatigue?
@Elbows - nice spot RE: the cemetery gate ... I've never seen that before now, either (4ground or otherwise).
-
Which reminds me, I need to get my Foundry zombie gunslingers painted... darn...

Neat. Most of my old West figures are Black Scorpion and Reaper, two of the taller ranges. The Great Escape games are a bit smaller. But still - not a lot of Western zombies out there I know of, and these look like decent sculpts. Black Scorpion is planning on a Tombstone Kickstarter this year, with more than a 100 new figures. One of the factions included is supposed to be undead. I am assuming he will more likely make skellies than zombies (based on his undead pirates), but if you are going to have undead Westerners, the more the merrier, really. So I may pick these GEG figures up. Thanks for posting this information, goon3423.

I don't get a lot of Black Scorpion stuff (they lost me for the most part when they went to resin) but I must admit I'm very curious to see what shows up in their Kickstarter. GEG will apparently have some new rules & several new gangs for this supplement.

I like these zombie figures. I'll be adding them to my shopping list.

Agreed - I'll be skipping any said Kickstarter...just won't put up with resin. :`
-
Absolutely on the shopping / birthday list! :o

Resin, plastic, metal - I like the figure, I buy it!

Ditto!

I'd like to know more about the expansion but I don't have a "prime membership" for Wargames Illustrated.
Miffed that GEG is marketing upcoming products behind a paywall like this.

I haven't played Dead Man's Hand but when I do put rules to the models I've been picking up and painting that;s what I think I will be using. I don't mind their zombie models but might consider using Westwind Empire of the Dead Victorian zombies instead if I was doing Walking West. Comparatively I like their zombies when I look at the rest of their models. I have a couple, and comparing them to my Black Scorpion and Artizan sculpts I feel they are inferior. I do appreciate their rules and want to give DMH a chance because I've read good things about the rule set and was impressed by Rules of Engagement.

I bought one set of GEG's Western figure sets to see what they were like. They are decent sculpts, and do have character. I like the style of the Black Scorpion figures better, but the GEG are not bad. They are smaller than the Reaper and BS figures that dominate my Western collection, which bumps them down in buying priority a bit, but doesn't exclude them. They seem to mix well with the Foundry Western figures I have.

Dead Man's Hand is a terrific set of rules. Plays fast, but lots of interesting decisions and a cinematic feel.

I had one for a day lol, ried the free day preview and found it was not worth the money so canceled it.
Intrigued to see what else comes out, personally i'm all for this ive always wanted to do a few undead wild west scenarios after playing Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare but found a lack of minis rto make up a decent sized horde without duplicates.

Reaper makes one pack of Western Zombies (3 different figures) in the Chronoscope range.

That's what matters, so it's the same for me! Makes no sense otherwise.
Kickstarters, however, I completely avoid.

@Micheal and DS615
Me too. Cool model; I want. Whether they get painted on receipt in a timely fashion :( . A Kickstarter would really have to capture my imagination and I'd need to interact with the creator a little to get a feel for them before committing. Only ever backed one and have no regrets. If I had money to burn I would be less cautious and discriminating.

Couple of new photos.
-
I think I will have to pick up a set.
-
Those are very interesting, indeed.
I need the Witch Doctor and his Zombies! 8)
-
I like the witch doctor (especially if he's just got facepaint on, and is usable as a normal human - leading a cult or some such), but I'm more interested in the destroyed Old West buildings shown in the pictures...curious to see how 4Ground proceed with that stuff ---- I'd like to be able to do an abandoned old mine town with tattered or destroyed buildings. Could be cool/unique (starts getting ideas of Mordheim in the Old West...)
lol
-
I'm hoping for some Vampires and Werewolves as well. Maybe some Native American beasties like a wendigo.

Yeah, me too.

Sounds like you fellas want to look into Blackwater Gulch by Gangfight Games.
-
Yep, or Wild West Exodus...or heck the old Deadlands range. lol

Eh I think it could work easily enough for DMH. Much like Konflikt is a bolt on for Bolt Action a weird west supplement could work here.
-
I just meant models-wise.
-
Same here - would love to see more horror/Western crossover models, but not at the moment interested in new rules. Although, who knows, at some point that may change.

New pictures on GEG FB page, a close up of 'The Baron' as the voodoo dude is called and some Wendigos he brought with him.
