Title: Insecure connection?
Post by: TheBlackCrane on 28 January 2017, 05:39:07 PM
Not sure whether this is a problem or it's been raised before, or which board to stick this on, but logging in to the site I'm getting an Insecure Connection warning - google telling me log-in details, messages etc could be scooped up by malign influences (it didn't actually call them malign influences). Not something I've had before though, so just wondered if the site's security settings etc all ok?

Not my PC as far as I know as I've run scans today anyway and not appearing on other sites.

Just thought I'd mention it, anyone else seeing this?

Cheers

Rob

Hi,

do you use Firefox? If so, apparently the most recent update is more restrictive when it comes to https vs http connections. Since the forum as of now does not yet support https connections, it is classed as an insecure connection (in that communication between your computer and the forum server is not encrypted by an SSL certificate).

It should be more of an "more aware of it" issue rather than an actual security problem, but we'll have to see.
