Nice looking figures, too.  I am curious to see the comparison shots that Tabletop Games promises.  At the moment I don't see a I-just-want-one-of-everything option, which works best for skirmish and RPG gamers like myself.  Thanks for posting Gamespost.

Ditto... but the 10GBP pledges look quite generous: eight of either pike men or two handed swordsmen. :o
There is this comparison  shot from the KS page (Warlord Games vs these guys):

I've asked regarding this and will let folks know what I find out.

The campaign is close to 2500 pounds which will then include the mounted standard bearer.  It already has reached the stretch goals of mounted general, 4 cavalry, mounted officer, and 4 character figures.  Hoping it can reach the 4 crossbowmen, too.

The figures look good.

Size wise, it would be nice to see a comparison to the Foundry Landsknechts.

Two changes to campaign ...

1.  After making a regular pledge, folks participating in the campaign will be able to tack on additional groups of 4 infantry or 2 cavalry for 5 pounds each.

As an example, I pledged the Company Group and added on 1 group of 4 swordsmen (5) and 1 of 4 handgunners (5), plus 8 attacking/advancing pikemen (10), and 4 cavalry (10), which added 30 pounds to my 65 pound pledge plus 10 for postage = 105 pounds.

You'll need to add the dollar amount into your pledge amount when you make the pledge to be able to get the additional groups of 4 infantry or 2 cavalry.

They will send out emails regarding this, and if there's an issue contact me, and hopefully I'll see what can be done.

2.  At my request, they have added a Skirmish & Collectors option at 40 pounds where a person can pledge to get one of each figure including the ones with head swaps and the stretch goals.

Looks like the campaign hit 2500 pounds when two folks pledged for the collectors/skirmish option, yes!

It needs 3000 pounds for the 4 crossbowmen, and 3500 for a mounted priest ... let's support this project!

The artillery crew is back on the list!

The stretch goals have been updated further ...

£500 - mounted general
£1,000 - pack of four mounted knights
£1,500 - mounted officer
£2,000 - pack of four character figures
£2,500 - mounted standard bearer
£3,000 -pack of four crossbowmen
£3,500 - mounted priest
£4,000 - pack of four artillery crew
£4,500 - pack of camp follows
£5,000 - pack of clergy
£5,500 - pack of 'at rest' troops

Currently funded at about £2800!

This means only £200 more to the 4 crossbowmen.

And I'd love to see the campaign make it to the artillery crew at £4000.

Overall I think they're quite nice buuuuuutttttt.........................

Is it just me or do the locks on the handguns look like flintlocks/firelocks/sanphaunces rather than early matchlocks? I can't see them all that clearly but they don't look right.
Title: Re: 28mm Landsknechts on Kickstarter ...
Post by: GamesPoet on 03 February 2017, 05:21:01 AM
Another pledge level has been added at 85 pounds ...

For 72 figures:

8 Command
16 Armoured Pike
16 Unarmoured Pike
16 Handgunners
8 Two handed swordsmen
8 Attacking pike/halberd

I'm very likely going to upgrade my pledge from the "Company Group" to the "Battle Group".

And if you're a WFB Empire player, this is could be the pledge level for you!

I do like the look of the figures that are posted.
Hope we get to see some of the other photos of figures planned.
I know that may take some time.

The mounted priest has been reached with the stretch goals, and at the moment there is about 350 pounds more to go to reach the artillery crew!

Post by: GamesPoet on 13 February 2017, 04:32:44 PM
Only four days to go!

The campaign is up to just under 4,500 pounds so the camp followers are in sight.

It'd be great to see it reach the pack of 4 priests!

Even at the current level, there are plenty of free figures (mounted and foot) flowing to folks making a pledge of 30 pounds for the Battalion Group, 40 pounds for the Skirmish/Collectors group or any of the other pledges above that.

It's too good to pass it up!

Title: Re: 28mm Landsknechts on Kickstarter ...

It is my understanding that all postage amounts are 10 pounds.
Title: Re: 28mm Landsknechts on Kickstarter ...
Post by: GamesPoet on 13 February 2017, 07:20:38 PM
Looks like stretch goals were amended again!

Currently reached ...
£500 - mounted general
£1,000 - pack of four mounted knights
£1,500 - mounted officer
£2,000 - pack of four character figures
£2,500 - mounted standard bearer
£3,000 -pack of four crossbowmen
£3,500 - mounted priest
£4,000 - pack of four artillery crew

Almost reached ...
£4,500 - surgeon and assistant

Not reached yet ...
£5,000 - baggage mule
£5,500 - camp followers
£6,000 - soldiers at rest
£6,500 - 'camp' - two resin tents (small)
£7,000 - 'camp' - two resin tents (large)

Apparently and according to the newest update, there is not an expectation of getting much further along on these stretch goals, but instead listing them to let folks know what they are planning beyond the campaign.

And they are also planning a Kickstarter after Easter for Swiss and Italians.

So the pack of 4 priest idea seems to have disappeared, and I guess that means the one that has been shown will be in one of the packs, hopefully as a character since that stretch goal has already been achieved.

Also, I like the idea of a surgeon and assistant, so hopefully it at least makes it the next 71 pounds or so.
Title: Re: 28mm Landsknechts on Kickstarter ...

Bingo!  Up over 4,600 pounds so the surgeon and assistant have been reached!

Only 3 days to go!

You know, all the stretch goals rather worry me. With every one that is reached it strikes me as less likely that the project will be fulfilled in a reasonable amount of time or perhaps, fail to succeed at all.

Title: Re: 28mm Landsknechts on Kickstarter ...

Title: Re: 28mm Landsknechts on Kickstarter ...
Post by: GamesPoet on 17 February 2017, 02:47:31 PM
They have 100 backers and over 6,000 pounds ... so all the figures are going to be available for the stretch goals, and hopefully they'll still make the tents anyway.

Only 5 hours remaining!
Title: Re: 28mm Landsknechts on Kickstarter ...
Post by: GamesPoet on 17 February 2017, 04:13:40 PM
With 3 hours to go, only 100 pounds away from reaching the small tents stretch goal.
Title: Re: 28mm Landsknechts on Kickstarter ...
Post by: GamesPoet on 17 February 2017, 11:13:32 PM
Wow, it got all the way to 6,714 pounds, so that includes the 2 small tents.

Hopefully they'll hold off on starting their next campaign until the figures are completed and provided.  And if there are funds left over, that could provide a good jump start for the Swiss and Italians.

I hope the same sculptor is used, and I'd love to eventually see French, too!

Yep. Me neither.
I'm sure many of them deliver wonderfully. But I've seen way too many threads like this, where a Kickstarter has failed to deliver altogether, delivers years late, or just lapses into radio silence.

That is unfortunate, yet I trust him.

Guys we're starting to sound like TMP
This is the last comms I had:

I'm going to start shipping the orders from the first surveys out this week - I’ve had to break the ‘surveys’ down into sections.

Once I’ve sent these out, I will send out surveys for the next group and so force.

The project, though enjoyable, has cost also double what has been raised, and along with issues from the casters and sculptors has resulted in the delays - however, I am aiming to have the majority of orders sent out before Christmas

Thanks once again for your patience in this.....

I wonder if these are the casts form the Sgt. Mess?  I agree it is frustrating but I think the guy has been upfront at every turn and it seems that he may a waded out of his depth in terms of the scale of the project. The new masters look great and I choose to keep the faith!

The latest update does discuss that some of the sub par castings are being Ebayed to help raise funds for the new mounds and repairs to greens. So far they look very good; great detail and- with the exception of a couple of figures- virtually no flash or mould lines, although the horses do have quite a few vents (not a big deal) . When I look at the number of figures I received in my pledge (including the stretch goals) I cannot see how this project did anything but lose money for the creator.  :?

........When I look at the number of figures I received in my pledge (including the stretch goals) I cannot see how this project did anything but lose money for the creator.  :?

Yeah, not a happy outcome for Adam which is a shame.  The range is getting into production for retail now with a new owner, details in the KS updates area.

I am waiting for my guys.
Just sent off an email making sure I am not one
of the guys with no info on mailing address.
I agree that Adam has tried to make it right.
Hats off to him for that.

I got mine just before Christmas. And I must say I am disappointed. Most have a halo of flash and quite a few are what I would call miscasts with details missing.

I didn't see the note on the KS as to where the figures are currently (or will be eventually) availbale for purchase.  Can someone post the link if handy.

Thanks.

Jim

I am please to say my figures have arrived.
Taking a first look, I am happy with the figures.
A few figures have flash, no big deal.
Am sorry that Adam has had so much trouble with the KS.
Thank you Adam for following through with this.

I looked at the figures again after the last post and I am 'an unqualified' happy with them and with the manner in which the kickstarter was conducted.

Hey Jim, here is what Adam posted in an earlier Update:
"After the new year, after the missing bits have been sent out, you can get extra Italian Wars figures, plus my FPW range (which has also been sold) from John Caboche, from Athena Miniatures Limited, email: John.caboche@btconnect.com"
